    About this training

Note: this training is delivered in Dutch.

Agile working has become the standard for many organisations. But what does it really mean? In practice you often see: • Different interpretations of Agile • Teams that "do" Agile but don't really understand why • Unclarity about roles and expectations • Or collaboration that doesn't automatically improve In this Agile basics training you get a clear and practical view of Agile working. You learn what Agile is, where it comes from and what it means for your role and collaboration. So you don't just know the terms, but understand how to apply them in practice.

    From training to your practice

You don't learn Agile only by talking about it, but especially by getting to work with it. That is why you are offered an individual coaching conversation of one hour after the training day. In that conversation we look at your specific work situation, challenge or case. This way you translate what you learned during the training directly into your daily practice.

    We work with

    • Practical examples from your work environment
    • Interactive exercises and simulations
    • Reflection on your role and way of working
    • Exchange with other participants
    • Short theoretical frameworks, immediately applied

By the end of the programme you will have not only insights, but also a concrete personal growth plan.

    More about this training

What will you learn during an Agile training?

During this Agile training you get to know the principles and values behind Agile working, and Scrum as a concrete framework. You learn what iterative working means, how to set priorities together, how to gather and use feedback and how teams keep improving step by step. We also look at roles, collaboration and expectations within an Agile team.

It is not just theory. You work with recognisable situations from your own job, practise with short iterations and translate what you learn straight into your own practice. At the end of the day you not only know the terms, you understand why they work and how to apply them.

Who is this Agile training for?

This Agile course is intended for professionals with little or no experience of Agile working. Think of people who are just joining an Agile team, people who work with Agile teams every day from HR, marketing, finance or management, and professionals who want to understand better why Agile organisations work the way they do.

Even if your team already works with Scrum but the intention behind it stays unclear, this Agile programme is a good first step.

What is the difference between Agile and Scrum?

Agile is a way of thinking and working, based on a set of values and principles: putting customer value first, working in short steps, learning from feedback and improving together. Agile does not prescribe a fixed way of working.

Scrum is a concrete framework that helps teams work in an Agile way. Scrum provides structure with roles, events such as the sprint and the retrospective, and artefacts such as the backlog. So you can use Scrum to work Agile, but applying Scrum does not automatically mean you are Agile. This Agile Scrum training covers both: first the thinking behind it, then how Scrum supports that in practice.

Do I need experience with Agile or Scrum?

No. This Agile training for beginners starts at the basics. You need no prior knowledge, certificate or earlier experience with Agile or Scrum. We build up the day step by step, from the intention behind Agile working to the concrete way of working in a team.

What will this Agile training bring me?

After one day you not only know the terms, you truly understand Agile and Scrum and can translate them to your own work situation. You know what your role is within Agile working, how to collaborate more effectively and which concrete steps you can already take tomorrow.

On top of that, every participant receives 1 hour of personal coaching after the training. In that conversation we discuss your own situation, issue or case, so that Agile working really lands in your practice.
